Vocabababble: baculum

This from a racoon.

From a polar bear.

Most mammals have them. Chimps have them but humans do not. Also absent in equids, monotremes, marsupials, lagomorphs, hyenas, and cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises), among others. Useful for having extended intercourse. Why don't humans have them anymore? Too quick?

A penis bone.
Elephants have them.

"Most mammals" sounds like a lot... I can verify firsthand that pigs, bovines, sheep and goats do not have them.. and I don't think deer, elk or antelope do, either. Maybe animals with cloven hooves don't have them as a rule (do they fit into one of the categories you name?).
