Eating Well My Patootie

So the other evening I had the opportunity to pick up a nice glossy magazine called EATING WELL: WHERE GOOD TASTE MEETS GOOD HEALTH. I gobbled it down, hoping to learn something new. What I learned is that EATING WELL's editors:

-endorse the use of canola oil
-endorse the use of splenda!
-believe in the RDA for nutition
-print recipes with corn syrup in them!!!
-don't include glycemic index in their chart of everything important about food

So basically I find this magazine to be 5-10 years behind the science. My idea of eating well is completely different from theirs.

Yuck.

Yep, they're behind the times and are probably published and/or endorsed by one of the food giants. Check the small print for ConAgra. Do they specify brand names in their recipes?

Just yet another way that people are trying to push "politically correct" food at consumers.

Nope, no brand names in the recipes....who is ConAgra? A canola oil manufacturer? They were BIG on canola.
