More Evidence that Soy is Bad for Humans

Ugh, so disgusting. Processed foods are just so damned disgusting... if people only knew what they were eating. Good article, I think I'll post it in my journal too.

Do you think fermented soy products, like miso - and fresh soy products, like edamame are OK to consume infrequently? I'm sure their chemical makeup is how it is SUPPOSED to be (at least with the edamame), since it is not processed.

My theory on soy is that it is harmful when processed, and nutritionally neutral when whole/fresh or fermented--if not consumed with every meal. Even the fresh or fermented foods block mineral absortion (esp metals like iron, magnesium) with that meal--and are bad for you if consumed too often. Some plants, whole and fresh as they may be, are poisonous. Soy is not acutely toxic, but it is not "food". Ask the Chinese. Traditionally only the very poor eat soy.
