I can't believe the ADA encourages people to eat table sugar because "it's no worse than starch." They're BOTH bad. Refined grains and sugars shouldn't even be in our diet, AT ALL.

"The ADA's sanctioning of sucrose -- as well as that of starch -- does come with one caveat: "Intake must be adequately covered with insulin or other glucose-lowering medication." That sounds like you can eat all the sugar you want, as long as you take enough drugs."

Saddest of all, there are many lives on the line because the ADA is supporting the diabetes-pharmaceutical industry (big money maker) instead of educating and healing the sick. My friend Daniel is on a fast track to the grave because he believes that medicating with insulin while eating milkshakes is just as healthy as avoiding sugar. And I can't convince him otherwise as long as all his doctors are riding the gravy train.......it hurts to see people hurt by this official misinformation....

I know. It is sick, sick, SICK. I am convinced it's the same with most illnesses. Heck, look at how my psoriasis cleared up after removing processed grains and sugars from my diet. How I'm not on stomach medication anymore after suffering for over twenty years.

It is really hard to convince people that they can change their health when the so-called experts continue to mislead them.

If you're interested in an AWESOME book on "politically correct nutrition," check out Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon. It is a cookbook but is packed with scientifically-backed facts about processed foods and how horribly bad they are for us.

I went to a homeopath about four years ago and she recommended I read this book because I thought I ate a good diet, but still had health problems. Turns out, my food intake was making me sick. I've changed my diet dramatically over the past four years and have amazing changes, including weight loss (35 pounds and counting), my psoriasis cleared up after 23 years, and my stomach problems are gone - I used to be on drugs for my stomach. Also I'm fending off diabetes with my diet. It's pretty amazing.

You're so right - the medical industry doesn't make money off of healthy people. Why in the world would they want us to be well?
