most common leuk in adults 15-39
poorly differentiated
prog: poor, live 1 year with chemo, cure 10-15%
auer rods
CHRONIC MYELOGENOUS LEUKEMIA
well-differentiated granulocytic
Philadelphia chromosome
age 25-60, slow for 3 yrs then blast crisis (85% die)
may include any cell line
hepatosplenomegaly, generalized LAD
CHRONIC LYMPHOCYTIC LEUKEMIA
most common leuk overall
most common after 60
well differentiated B-cell lymphocytic
more males, never Asian
few sx
prog: survive 4-6 yrs
acute state rare, unlike CML
HAIRY CELL LEUKEMIA
B cells w/ hairlike projections
virus related
pancytopenia
middle aged men
most survive over 10 yrs
