speaking of briskly traded underground commodities

I turned on the radio the other day and heard Hillary Clinton's voice saying that she was going to do what she could to lower the demand for illicit drugs in the US. My immediate thought was GOOD LUCK, LADY. Too many people have lost their jobs, and are unable to find new ones. I expect the demand for illegal drugs to increase and remain steady as long as people are both unemployed and uninspired. I know Obama is doing his best to provide inspiration, but man is he up against a tough fight. No matter what he does in good faith, he is being met with bad faith on all sides. I feel for the guy. I hope he knows there are many of us out here who deeply appreciate him. And frankly, I think Clinton is doing a good job too, though it's a stretch for her to shed the politics. Still, she has good intentions, and a lion's heart. Oh there is SO MUCH that has happened politically in the last couple of weeks. I don't know the half of it, but I heard about the Republican hoorah about offering an alternative budget, and having it come out a 19 page gripe sheet with no productive suggestions. Then the hell they caught for not incuding any numbers in their "budget" which was promptly renamed to "blueprint". Oh and the "Conservidems"...some 11 Democrats who are more greedy and corporate than they are public servants, from the sound of it. I just googled conservidems and only two things came up, a youtube link (that didn't work) to a 6 minute Rachel Maddow clip about them. The other result was something that mentioned Lieberman as being a "generic conservidem" back in 2000. Anyway, more about this later, we've got last night's Rachel Maddow's show cued up. Afghanistan war first. She shows an assortment of "Bush-ish moments" for example when Obama said "they must be met with force and they must be defeated". Obama is holding the line about continuing our military effort. I can only hope that he has some new objectives. It's interesting to me to see Hillary standing behind Obama, with a very subdued face. Maddow makes the point that Clinton's presence shows that this speech is about a foreign policy matter. Thank goodness it's not just military anymore. Classic blunders clip:, "the most famous (classic blunder) is Never get involved in a land war in Asia" from the movie, The Princess Bride. Reconciliation with moderate elements of the the Taliban as a goal. Kitten didn't want to go out in the rain and had to be thrown out. She was getting ready to piss on the bathroom carpet, which is what she did back when it snowed in December. Pakistan, Pakistan, Pakistan. You've got to see this lady's news report, I can't do it justice in writing. The Rachel Maddow Show, Friday nights. Can you tell that finals are over? Botanical materia medica was the last exam, yesterday afternoon.
